How to Remove Unnecessary Facial Hair

Lavera - Body SPA - Vervian-Lime Body Lotion & Free Bamboo-Green Tea Shower & Bath GelThe face is a person's most guarded possession. When something threatens the cosmetic features of the face, people usually respond by eliminating the imperfection or the source of the imperfection. Apart from scars and birthmarks, extra hair growth in the facial region cause a lot of people grief. Just how do we deal with unnecessary facial hair growth? There are many options today; more than what was available a few decades ago.

Weighing the benefits of laser surgery

Cosmetic surgery doesn't always involve grisly knives or what not. You can undergo a procedure that involves a machine that radiates light and go home with smoother, hair-free skin. One of the benefits of facial laser surgery is the cost of the treatment compared to the accumulated cost of other facial hair removal methods.

Just how long does it take for a cosmetologist to perform a full-face treatment? It takes only 15 minutes to finish one session. You generally have to go back to the clinic twice a month for best results. A full facial laser surgery would cost between $250 - $650; depending on the clinic. But as you can see, you have to pay a large chunk of cash upfront for the treatment. Nevertheless, if the laser treatment is successful, you have permanent hair removal on the desired areas.

Old-school shaving

Of course, not everyone could shell out $200 for facial hair removal at a cosmetic laser clinic. In such cases, the good old disposable razor can do the trick. Here's what people like about razors: they're easy to use and they do the job. Now here's what people don't like about disposable razors: they cause the said facial hair to grow back differently. So instead of having down-like facial hair, you eventually grow darker and thicker strands of facial hair. Not very good if you wish to look more feminine.

The only way to avoid this is by shaving regularly; daily if need be, depending on the rate of growth of your facial hairs. To make the task easier, always use a shaving cream or shaving gel during shaving time. Whether you're a man or a woman, it won't hurt to slather some lubrication on the most area of the skin. To make things better, apply your favorite lotion or moisturizer to the shaved area. This would keep the skin supple, moist and soft. It would also cause any remaining hairs to look softer.

Grab a pair of tweezers

It's the simplest tool around and yet it still works beautifully if you know how. Did you know that even up to now, people are still using this very simple tool to remove unwanted chin hairs and to shape eyebrows? With continued use, the skin learns to tolerate the small amounts of force exerted during plucking.

Plucking may be uncomfortable for both men and women who have just began plucking their facial hairs. Make sure that you pull on the hairs firmly; there's no need to draw blood through your pores. A badly plucked chin would look a bit raw. A perfectly plucked chin on the other hand, would look smooth, clear and very clean. You can wash the areas intended for plucking with some soap to make the skin softer.
