Things To Keep In Mind When You Look At Plastic Surgery Before And After Pictures

One of the most important steps in your plastic surgery adventure is to look at before and after pictures. You wouldn't buy any clothes or accessories without seeing how they suit you in the mirror. Why would you make major changes to your body without seeing what will be done?

Looking at the before and after pictures is also a great way to see a surgeon's work. When shopping for a surgeon, you should look at their pictures. Think of it as their portfolio. You can see their outcome, and decide if that's what you want.

But how do you look at the photos with a critical eye? Here are a few tips for examining those photos.

Look At Lots Of Photos
The more you look at, the better an idea you will have. It's just as simple as that. Ask to see tons of them, and look at all of them closely. Some surgeons will just offer you a few of their masterpieces, but insist to see more. This is a good way to choose a doctor as well; if they won't show you all the pictures you need, head for another clinic.

Compare Online
Before you head to your first consultation, take a look at your procedure online. Simply typing "plastic surgery before and after" into a search engine will bring you more results than you'll know what to do with. Have a look at lots of pics of your procedure, and this will give you some standards of what to look for.

Is It Natural?
The main thing you should be looking for is how natural the plastic surgery looks. This is absolutely number one. After all, nobody wants a fake-looking nose job. Look at both and ask yourself, "Does the after one look just as natural as the before picture?"

Make It Clear
Most surgeons will have photos that are all taken in their office. The important part of the picture, where the work was done, should be clearly shown in the photo. It should be prominently displayed, and well lighted so that you can see the difference.

Looking at them is a great way to see the results of your procedure. But, remember that they're no guarantee of results. Plastic surgery is very individualized, and this means that results differ from patient to patient. Your results may not match what you see in them.

To get an even clearer picture of what you can expect from your surgery, talk to your surgeon carefully. Looking at pictures will give you some good ideas, but ultimately it's your consultation with the surgeon that will really determine what you will have done.
